In a counter to AAP’s campaign, wherein oximeters are being supplied across the state, Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh today announced that oximeters would be made available to all citizens at an affordable cost of Rs 514 each via approved vendors in every district.

The Health Department will issue detailed guidelines in this regard within a week.

Replying to queries during #AskCaptain live session on Facebook, the CM said the Health Department had been purchasing oximeters for Rs 514 each for its staff, and now the same would be made available to public through authorised vendors at a no-profit-no-loss basis, he added.

To facilitate free movement of NEET aspirants, Capt also announced that there would be no curfew in the state this Sunday i.e. on September 13. Non-essential shops would, however, remain closed, he clarified.

He also urged youngsters to think 10 times before posting or forwarding anything on social media, as any irresponsible action could impact their future. He was referring to the 121 social media accounts/links that have been blocked for indulging in false propaganda on organ harvesting and Covid testing.
