A gangster was injured in a clash that broke out at the New District Jail in Nabha today.

Sources said the fight among gangsters took place in the high-security zone over changing a TV channel.

Harpreet Singh (30), alias Happy, was suspected to be injured with sharp edges of spoons.

Arshdeep Singh, alias Bittu, a resident of Mehal Kalan, Barnala, Shamsher Singh, alias Shera, a resident of Batala, and Chamkaur Singh, alias Beant, a resident of Mari Mustafa village in Moga, reportedly assaulted Happy.

He was initially taken to Civil Hospital, Nabha, but later referred to Government Rajindra Hospital in Patiala. Doctors reported that Harpreet sustained injuries on his nose and chest. The police were informed about the incident.

Harpreet Singh, who was confined in the high-security zone, faces four cases related to arms, drugs and murder.
