Employees of the Co-operative banks are on an indefinite pen-down strike for the past five days demanding implementation of recommendations of the sixth pay commission report in Bathinda.

The union leaders have announced to hold a state-level protest outside Chandigarh head office on December 28. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
