to the martyr while recalling episodes from his life.

He said the AAP government in the state was committed to perpetuating the legacy of martyrs by organising events and raising memorials in their memory.

The CM said the government was committed to carve out a progressive and prosperous Punjab for the welfare of every section of society, so that dreams of the martyrs were realised. Appreciating the unity, coordination and harmony among residents of the Sarabha village, the CM announced that sincere efforts would be made to accept and implement all demands and expectations of the villagers.

Provision of potable water by purifying canal water, an indoor shooting range, widening of road from Lalton Kalan to Pakhowal, aviation academy for training of pilots, forest nursery in the village, were the projects announced by the CM to be accomplished with grants worth Rs 45.84 crore.

He claimed that emergence of Punjabi sportspersons as leaders of all major sports in India was the outcome of Punjab Government’s Khedan Watan Punjab Diya campaign. Adequate grants would be provided for development of sports in other villages too, he added.

Mann appealed to the people to reach Sri Anandpur Sahib for participating in the celebration of the 350th martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur from November 23 to 25.

Earlier, the CM visited the ancestral house of Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha and other memorials to pay floral tributes to the martyr.
