Giving details about the initiative, he said that a woman panchayat member would be made the president of the 15-member committee while an accredited social health activist (ASHA) would be appointed member-secretary.

“This committee would prove instrumental in resolving minor physical ailments, drug de-addiction and promoting healthy lifestyle,” he added. The minister also claimed that the state’s government’s campaign against drugs had evoked a positive response from every quarter of society.
