Commuters have been having a harrowing time on the Muktsar-Malout road for the past few months. Earlier, the temporary path built along an under-construction bridge over the Chandbhan drain at Rupana village was not only risky but also got washed away during the recent rains.

Now, the authorities have closed another alternate temporary passage built over the drain as well. As a result, commuters are being forced to take longer routes, and the condition of these roads is also unsatisfactory due to their narrow width and poor state.

Furthermore, some buses are dropping passengers at one end of the bridge and making them board another bus from the other end.
