Congress MLAs stage dharna in Punjab Vidhan Sabha, seek Bhagwant Mann’s apology
Chandigarh, March 5
Continuing the attack on Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for his remarks against Dalit MLA Sukhwinder Kotli, Congress leaders today staged a dharna at the entrance of the Vidhan Sabha, moments before the proceedings for the day began.
Led by CLP leader Partap Singh Bajwa and PPCC chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, the party maintained that the CM was acting at the behest of the BJP-led NDA government against the state’s interests. Bajwa said the conduct of the CM during yesterday’s session indicated that the standards of discussion in the House had hit its lowest ebb.
MLA Kotli held two placards in both his hands for over half an hour. Warring said he had never earlier seen such a conduct by a CM in the Vidhan Sabha.
