Abohar police have made significant arrests in connection with multiple thefts and drug-related offenses. A team led by Assistant SHO Sukhpal Singh apprehended two suspects, Harjinder Singh of Khuian Sarwar and Davinder Singh of Lakhe village in Fazilka, during a routine check on Fazilka Road.

The duo was caught with a stolen bike, and upon interrogation, police recovered two more bikes linked to the suspects. Harjinder Singh had an existing case against him at the Khuian Sarwar Police Station, while Davinder Singh was facing charges in three separate cases registered at the Lakhe Ke and Fazilka police stations.

In a separate operation, police arrested Ajay Singh of Seed Farm and Rohit Kumar of Circular Road for allegedly attempting to sell eight mobile phones that they had snatched from various individuals across Abohar and surrounding areas. A case has been registered against them under the relevant sections of the BNS Act.

In another breakthrough, Sub-Inspector Amrik Singh led a team that apprehended Lakhwinder Singh, also known as Lakhi Kabutranwala, in possession of 170 intoxicating pills. Lakhi, who had previously faced charges under Section 306 of the IPC in 2020, was arrested and a case was filed under the NDPS Act.

Additionally, Abohar police seized 5 grams of heroin, 300 sedative tablets, and Rs 6,800 in cash from Bohad Singh of Seed Farm. A case under the NDPS Act has been registered against him.
