The police will produce gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in a court in Malout on Wednesday to seek his remand to question him further in the murder of history-sheeter Manpreet Singh, alias Manna.
Lawrence is being brought from Bharatpur Central jail in Rajasthan amid tight security arrangements. Sources said nearly 50 police personnel had gone to Rajasthan to bring him to Malout town.
Notably, Lawrence had even threatened to kill actor Salman Khan in the past. He is facing over 20 criminal cases in Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana and Rajasthan.
SSP Rajbachan Singh Sandhu said, “Bishnoi is being brought to Malout. We will produce him in a court tomorrow and seek remand to question him in the Manna case.”
