Chandigarh, November 18

The state reported 802 new Covid cases and 31 deaths in the past 24 hours.

With this, the total number of Covid cases in the state has gone up to 1,43,395 while the number of deaths has reached 4,541.

SAS Nagar district topped the list with 134 fresh cases, followed by Patiala (108), Jalandhar (97), Ludhiana (85), Amritsar (55) and Hoshiarpur (54). The number of active cases has gone up to 5,937.

At present, 144 patients are on oxygen support while 17 are on ventilator support.

Jalandhar district reported six deaths today, followed by Ludhiana (five), Sangrur and Hoshiarpur (three each), Muktsar, Ropar, Bathinda and Fazilka (two each), and Amritsar, Barnala, Fatehgarh Sahib, Mansa, SAS Nagar and Pathankot (one each).
