DC orders probe into death of minor girl at ashram

Meanwhile, the girl’s parents were informed by the authorities to initiate further formalities. A medical board was constituted to conduct the postmortem, ensuring all medico-legal procedures were followed.
The inquiry was ordered after Director, Social Security and Women and Child Development, Punjab, wrote to the DC, Jalandhar, seeking probe into the sudden death of the minor girl.
Meanwhile, the DC's office said officials immediately rushed the girl to a nearby nursing home after seeing her condition. She was referred to Civil Hospital Jalandhar, where doctors declared her brought dead.
