The commission is yet to announce the schedule for the polls, for which the process for the enrolment of voters is currently being carried out.

In a letter to Gurdwara Election Commissioner Justice SS Saron (retd), SGPC president Harjinder Singh Dhami said non-Sikhs appeared to be included in the list as their names sans the ‘Singh’ and ‘Kaur’ suffixes.

He said photographs were omitted against the voters raising apprehensions about their identity. Dhami said rules of the eligibility criteria are being ignored by government officials by picking up names from the voter lists of the Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections.
