The court today sent former Forest Minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot to three-day remand in the probe linked to an alleged forest scam.

The ED on Monday arrested Dharamsot from Jalandhar under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The 64-year-old, appearing before ED officials for the second time, was arrested after the sleuths said he did not give satisfactory reply to the allegations. The five-time MLA from the Nabha was last year arrested by the Vigilance Bureau in a case linked to alleged possession of disproportionate assets.

In November 2023, the ED raided the premises of Dharamsot, another minister Sangat Singh Giljian, Forest Department officials and others in this case.
