Around 100 AAP workers have decided to quit the party over allocation of ticket to Amandeep Singh, alias Goldy Musafir, who is the son of a former district education officer, from the Balluana constituency.

Engineer Baldev Singh, who presided over the meeting of dissidents, said they had apprised the top leadership of the resentment among workers, but to no avail.

“The AAP claims to be giving ticket based on a survey, but Goldy has been facing opposition over alleged wrongdoing. The AAP should not forget people of Punjab can’t be fooled by making false guarantees. If these had not implemented in Delhi so far, how will these be implemented in Punjab?” he said.
