Chandigarh, November 14

After segregating non-tainted lecturers from the tainted ones in the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) recruitment scam, the Higher Education Department has initiated the process of appointing 48 lecturers.

After getting approval from Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, the department has directed the DPI (Colleges) to issue appointment letters after verifying the eligibility criteria. Of the total 69 candidates who were under scanner in the PPSC case, the department has identified 48 candidates as non-tainted.
