During interrogation, it came to light that drugs were being supplied to Punjab from Delhi on a large scale, claimed SSP Amneet Kondal, adding the police had launched a special drive against drug peddlers and anti-social elements and checkpoints were set up at various points. The CIA staff, Sirhind, got a tip-off that Lakhwinder Singh, alias Billa, a resident of Mandi Gobindgarh, was sourcing heroin from Delhi and selling it to locals. Lakhwinder was arrested who told about Eric, a Nigerian, who too was held. Later, two more Nigerians, Louis John and Lucky Cheema Imagani, were held. — OC
