‘Drug hotspots’ demolished in Sriganganagar

These houses had allegedly long served as a haven for drug addicts, where they used to secretly consume drugs, intelligence inputs indicated. Meanwhile, the house of a notorious drug dealer in Lalpura Odhan village, was demolished under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act.
Superintendent of Police Dr Amrita Duhan said the two abandoned and desolate ruined houses, located near Shivalik Colony-II, were causing problems to residents of surrounding colonies. Drug addicts frequently visited these houses to consume drugs, leading to increased insecurity and crime in the area.
