Pursuing on his core issues, and the issues raised by the dissidents, Sidhu, in a tweet, also sought to know about the action against those who gave political facilitation and protection to set up a chemical drug factory in Punjab. He said because of lack of action, the Akalis were threatening Congress with the case.

Earlier in the day, after days of hitting at his own government and the Chief Minister for the delay in justice in sacrilege and police firing cases, Sidhu acknowledged for the first time that the new SIT in Kotkapura police firing case was inching towards justice.  This signals a significant shift in his line of action amid the brainstorming by party high command to end the crisis in Punjab Congress and bring the Chief Minister and Sidhu on the same page.

While hitting out at Sukhbir Singh Badal, Sidhu said in his tweet: “Yrs since sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib Ji.. No Justice in 2 yrs of your rule.. No Justice in the following 4.5 yrs.. Today, New SIT inches closer to Justice for Punjab’s Soul & you cry of political interferance.. Political interference was that which delayed Justice by 6 yrs”.
