ED court frames charges against Dharamsot
A special Enforcement Directorate (ED) court framed charges against former Forest Minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) on March 18.
“Charges have been framed for the said offence against the accused. Contents of same have been read over and explained to accused Sadhu Singh Dharamsot through video-conferencing, to which, he pleaded not guilty and claimed trial. The scanned copy of the chargesheet be sent to the jail superintendent concerned through email,” the order read.
On March 11, the court in another PMLA case issued proclamation under Section 82 of the CrPC for Harpreet Singh, son of Sadhu Singh Dharamsot. The non-bailable warrants for Harpreet Singh were received back unserved.
