Clearing the air about the government reinstating then Faridkot SP(D) Bikramjit Singh, facing a criminal case in connection with the Behbal Kalan firing incident, Deputy CM Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa today said the orders were given by former CM Capt Amarinder Singh.

He said the ex-CM, who also held the Home portfolio, had ordered the reinstatement of the police officer concerned while withholding just one increment despite the then Additional Chief Secretary (Home) not writing in favour of the officer. — TNS
