Veteran Congress leader and former minister Gurnam Singh Abul Khurana, 90, passed away at his Chandigarh residence today. He was suffering from age-related ailments for some time.

He remained MLA from Lambi in Muktsar from 1992 to 1997. He served as the Irrigation and Revenue Minister. The CM described him as a leader of masses. The government declared a holiday for the rest of the day. — TNS
