Recently, Partap Singh Bajwa and former CM Charanjit Singh Channi had visited Arora at his Hoshairpur residence. Sources said the party had been facing leadership crisis in Hoshairpur and efforts were being made to bring him back in the party.

Earlier, Arora was in news when he faced a vigilance case in industrial plot transfer scam and was also arrested by the Vigilance Bureau after he allegedly tried to bribe an assistant inspector general of the agency. He was later granted bail by the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
