Former student leader Musa Khan, who is also head of a political outfit affiliated with the Shiromani Akali Dal, was today booked following a complaint of harassment and torture filed by his wife. The victim had gone live on social media and complained of harassment and physical torture.

The police have registered a case against Musa Khan and his sister Chand Bibi under Sections 342, 323, 506, 498-A of the IPC following complaint by Amanpreet, alias Ayesha Khan, who alleged that the accused would regularly assault her and also harass her son.

“We married in 1999 and he was regularly threatening my son and me. On July 24, I was beaten up and my son Shahmasood Khan was locked in a room and threatened,” she stated in her complaint. Considered close to an Akali politician, Musa Khan is yet to be arrested. The police said raids were on to nab the accused.
