Chandigarh: The Punjab Government is contemplating to give 100 per cent exemption in the motor vehicle tax to state carriage buses and buses of schools and colleges in wake of the pandemic. A proposal in this regard is being tabled in Wednesday’s Cabinet meeting. The period of exemption has been proposed from May 20, 2020 to December 31, 2020. It has also been proposed to extend the valdity of an amnesty scheme till March 31, 2021. — TNS
