A delegation of farmer leaders, including BKU Ekta Ugrahan president Joginder Ugrahan and secretary Shingara Singh Mann, on Sunday held a meeting with Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

The main issues discussed were introducing ways to reduce consumption of water and electricity in agriculture.

The meeting was attended by representatives of Punjab Agricultural University Ludhiana.

The zoning of land to streamline paddy plantation was also discussed in the meeting, while special attention was paid to basmati and PR 126 paddy seed.
