Irked over the low water level in Gang Canal, members of the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) on Sunday burnt effigies of Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Farm activists, who marched from Sriganganagar to Hussainiwala Headworks, said only 400 cusecs of water was being discharged into RD 45, emanating point for Gang Canal that has a fix quota of 2,500 cusecs for June.
