On the call of Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM), farmers will observe Independence Day as ‘Kisan Mazdoor Sangram Divas’ and take out a tractor march on the day.

A decision in this regard was taken at the meeting of the SKM district unit held at Gurdwara Fatehgarh Sahib today, said Harnek Singh Bhallmajra and Sarvjeet Singh.

They said the farmers would take out a march from their respective villages and gather at tehsil and district headquarters. During the peaceful march, the farmers will carry the Tricolour and no slogans will be raised.

They said though the country had got independence, they still feel like slaves as their voice was not being heard.
