Resentment is brewing among farmers in the Jalalabad subdivision over the shortage of water in the Ladhuka distributary. The distributary provides irrigation water to dozens of villages in Fazilka district. The farmers alleged that only 237 cusecs of water was being released in the canal against the sanctioned capacity of 420 cusecs.
