Fazilka: 2 land in police net with stolen car, contraband

The Fazilka police claimed to have arrested two persons with a stolen car and drugs. The police said a Skoda car, which was stolen by one of the accused from the Jalalabad area, and 10 grams of heroin were recovered from the accused.
Fazilka SSP Manjeet Singh Dhesi said acting on a tip-off, police teams had set up a naka on the Fazilka-Ferozepur road near Basti Chak Sukkar in the Jalalabad subdivision when the accused, identified as Sunil Kumar, alias Umed, a resident of Amarpura village in Abohar subdivision, and Robin Bishnoi, a resident of Rajanwali village, were arrested.
The SSP said a car owned by Rajinder Kumar, a resident of Machhar colony, Jalalabad, was stolen on January 7.
According to the police, Sunil Kumar has been facing 8 criminal cases.
