Ferozepur former MLA Ravinder Singh Sandhu (67), alias Babbal, died of dengue at a hospital in Ludhiana today. Babbal joined the Congress in 1975. He got elected as an Independent from the Ferozepur constituency in 1992. He was taken back into the party in 1996. In 2014, Babbal joined the SAD. Babbal is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter. — OC
