A massive fire broke out at a paddy stubble dump, situated on Kotkapura-Moga Road on Sunday evening.

It is believed that the fire started due to sparking of electrical wires and within no time the fire took a terrible form. After getting the information, fire brigade vehicles and city police team reached the spot and started efforts to control the fire. Seeing the enormity of the fire, fire brigade tenders were also called from Faridkot, Muktsar, Moga, Ferozepur towns and till the time of writing the news, efforts to control the fire were going on.

On this occasion, Baghapurana MLA Amritpal Singh said that when he was passing through Kotkapura-Moga Road, he saw that there was a fire, after which he informed the fire brigade. Besides, the administrative officials of Moga and Faridkot were also informed and instructions were given to make efforts for rescue work.
