Punjab Finance Minister Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema and Forest and Wildlife Preservation Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak held a detailed meeting today with the Janglat Workers Union. The meeting, chaired by Finance Minister Cheema, who also leads the Cabinet Sub-Committee formed to address employee issues, focused on addressing the demands and challenges faced by Janglat workers and finding practical solutions.

During the discussions, Finance Minister Cheema directed the Forest Department to arrange a follow-up meeting with the union to address their service-related concerns. He emphasised the importance of a positive approach in resolving these issues and instructed that the case regarding financial obligations be forwarded to the Finance Department for further action. Cheema assured union representatives that their legitimate demands would be addressed promptly, reiterating the government’s commitment to employee welfare.

In addition, Cheema instructed the Forest Department to organise training programmes for class four employees to enhance their skills and improve their work efficiency. This initiative aims to empower employees with better skill sets, contributing to their professional development and job satisfaction.
