Jatinder Singh Aulakh, who had retired as the ADGP (Intelligence) in January 2023, has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC).

His name for the post was cleared by the Council of Ministers this afternoon. The file was also sent to the Governor for his final assent. The swearing-in ceremony for the PPSC Chairman and for the recently selected Chief Information Commissioner Inderpal Singh is likely to be held this week.
