Two days after the death of NEET-UG topper of 2017, Dr Navdeep Singh, who was found hanging from a ceiling fan at his rented accommodation in Delhi on Sunday, former MP Jagmeet Singh Brar today shot off a letter to Home Minister Amit Shah seeking a CBI probe in the matter.

Navdeep (25) originally belonged to Muktsar town. He was presently a second-year student of MD (radiology) at Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi, and was residing at Parsi Anjuman Dharamshala there.

His father Gopal Singh, who is the principal of government senior secondary school at Sarainaga village here, has said that his son never told him that he was facing any problem and the truth behind his death should come out.

Former MP Jagmeet Singh Brar said, “I spoke to Navdeep’s father today and have demanded a CBI probe in this matter by writing a letter to the Home Minister.”
