Four persons were killed in three road accidents. In the first incident Naurang Ram (23) of Jandwala village died on the spot when his bike hit a roadside tree last night on the Gidderanwali-Diwankhera road, near the highway. The deceased was working as a private account assistant. He was the only earning member of his family.

In the second incident Om Parkash Naik (60) of Chak 73-NP village died when a car reportedly hit his bike on the Bharat Mala Project road today.

In the third incident Ranjeet Kaur and Bhupinder Kaur, who were going to Raisingh Nagar, sustained injuries as their car overturned after colliding with bike. Both have been admitted to the government hospital in Jaitsar. Car driver fled from the spot after the accident.

In the fourth incident Iqbal Singh (41) and his father-in-law Pratap Singh (62) were killed as their bike reportedly collided with a car when they were going from Kharakhera village to Naurangdesar village today afternoon. The police said the CCTV footage was being scanned to identify the car involved in the accident.
