Kala Singh, a resident of Patti Sadiq, died on the spot and his friend Sohan Singh was injured when an unidentified vehicle hit their motorcycle near Daulatpura village, 15 km from here, on the Abohar-Sriganganagar Road today. A case has been registered at Khuian Sarwar police station.

In another incident, a pickup and a car collided near Khairpur village on Tuesday. The car driver was seriously injured and was referred to AIIMS Bathinda.

Jai Prakash and his friend Amar were going from Abohar to Hanumangarh in the car. Pirthi of Mehrana was coming to Abohar in the pickup. Aman and Pirthi suffered minor injuries, while Prakash was badly injured.

Burjwala village resident Surinder Kumar was killed and his son Radha Krishan was injured when a car hit their motorcycle on the Padampur Road in Sriganganagar today. Krishan was admitted to the government hospital.

Ramesh Kumar (45) of Pakki village died, his son Rajveer (21) and daughter-in-law Pooja (20) were injured when their bike was hit reportedly by a car near Panjawa village in Abohar today. Seven of a family were injured — one of them Vijay Kumar (10) later died — when the car they were traveling in overturned as the driver tried to prevent collision with stray cattle near Chak Jawala Singh Wala at 5 pm.
