AAP Punjab co-incharge Raghav Chadha has asked CM Charanjit Singh Channi to provide Scheduled Caste (SC) families with five marla plots financial assistance of Rs 1 crore to each employees from the community, who lost their lives while discharging duties during Covid duties.

Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, he said: “The Congress had promised plots in its manifesto for the 2017 elections. If Channi government fails to fulfil the promise, AAP would do it.”

He accused the CM of using the SC category as vote bank, but doing nothing for the progress of this category. Cheema said both the Congress and Akali Dal Badal had over the years neglected the community. — TNS
