The police today claimed to have busted a gang of thieves and snatchers and arrested its four members.

Gurdev Singh Dhaliwal, DSP (D), Sangrur, said the police arrested four members of the gang and seized a country-made pistol, three cartridges, a toy pistol, two stolen motorcycles and 11 mobile phones from their possession. They were arrested from Sunam by a team of the CIA staff.

The DSP added that during investigation, it came to notice that there were around 20 cases already registered at different police stations against some members of the gang. The arrested gang members had been identified as Veer Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, Jagmail Singh and Nirmal Singh, he added.
