Gurlaljit reportedly told the cops that he wanted to use the washroom. His handcuffs were removed and he was taken to the washroom from where he tried to flee by pushing aside the ASI accompanying him.

The police personnel chased Gurlaljit, who ran into the parking lot of a local gurdwara. In a bid to jump into a vacant plot, he suffered an injury on the leg and was nabbed by the policemen. He was brought back to the hospital. A case under Section 262 of the BNS has been registered. The security of the gangster’s aides has been tightened.
