Ferozepur, January 15

The Golden Arrow Division of the Indian Army today celebrated the “Army Day” at Sundar Singh Stadium in the cantonment area.

Besides Army personnel and their families, around 500 schoolchildren, government and civil dignitaries participated in the event. Live performances by a military band amazed the audience. The Army also showcased its skills and martial arts prowess through tent pegging, mallkham and kalaripauattu.

A wide range of firearms, communication setup and other defence equipment used by various wings of the Armed forces were displayed to kindle patriotic fervour and pride among youth.

Major General Amit Loomba, General Officer Commanding, Golden Arrow Division said the Army offered a challenging career to the youth and there were plenty of options available within different wings of the forces.
