Panic spread at Fazilka railway station this evening when a bogie of a goods train derailed while being filled with wheat by labourers. According to eyewitness accounts, four labourers were trapped inside the bogie but were quickly rescued by their companions, preventing a major tragedy.

The labourers explained that while they were loading wheat bags into the bogie, it suddenly derailed onto an adjoining track, trapping them inside.

Railway police official P.S. Tomar, who arrived at the scene, suggested that a technical issue may have caused the derailment. He added that a detailed investigation would determine the exact cause of the incident.
