Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal today said the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government was endangering the farm economy of the state by mismanaging power supply to the rural sector with paddy saplings withering due to severe power outages.

In a statement here, he said, “At a time when the canals are virtually dry, the AAP government has failed to provide the mandatory eight-hour uninterrupted power supply to the rural sector despite grandiose claims by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann that he had made ample arrangements for ensuring power supply for paddy transplantation. Farmers are barely getting four-five hour power supply. Paddy yield will be affected due to the AAP government’s failure to provide adequate power supply to farmers.”
