Expressing grief over the death of two soldiers from Punjab during anti-terrorist operations in Kashmir, CM Bhagwant Mann has announced an honorarium of Rs 1 crore each for their families.

“In an encounter with terrorists in Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir, the tragic news was received of the martyrdom of soldier Pritpal Singh from the Manupur village in Khanna and Sepoy Harminder Singh from Badinpur village in Mandi Gobindgarh. We express our heartfelt condolences to the families,”he said.

The jawans died in the line of duty on the ninth day of operations being carried out jointly by the security forces in the Akhal Devsar area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam.
