Last month, on January 16, the Punjab Government had announced to bear the entire cost of treatment of literary doyen Dr Dalip Kaur Tiwana, who brought laurels to the state at national and international levels through her works.

A month has passed but no government official has provided any financial help to the family memebrs. The family has paid all the bills, including Rs 80,000 at Sadbhavna Hospital, Patiala, and later Rs 13 lakh at Max Super Specialty Hospital, Mohali. — TNS
