A senior leader of Samyukt Kisan Morcha (Non-political) Kaka Singh Kotra, who is also state general secretary of BKU (Sidhupur), today expressed apprehension that Jagjit Singh Dallewal, whose indefinite fast today entered Day 26 at Khanauri border morcha, might be airlifted from the morcha site by making farmers unconscious.

Kotra alleged that the government had been gathering forces in Haryana and in areas close to the morcha site to attack farmers. He alleged tear gas shells could be fired at them to “make them unconscious” for removing Dallewal from the morcha.

Kotra claimed that a helipad was being made near the morcha site to remove Dallewal and take him to another state. He asked Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to clear his stand whether he is with the farmers or with the Centre.

Lakhwinder Singh Aulakh, state president of Bharatiya Kisan Ekta (BKE), Haryana, said that forces were being deployed in Haryana in large numbers and around the morcha. Besides, four-tier barricading on the main highway (Katra-Delhi) on Haryana side had been done with big heaps of soil, stones and forces so that farmers from Haryana cannot reach the morcha site.

Farm leader from Haryana Abhimanyu Kohar said that Dallewal today told them that he was not feeling well. His blood pressure had also been fluctuating rapidly and his condition is serious, he added. He also said that from the preparations on the ground, it seemed that the governments were planning and preparing to airlift Dallewal.
