The AAP government in the state has appointed chairpersons and trustees for improvement trusts in 20 districts, including Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Patiala, Hoshiarpur, Fazilka, Moga and Pathankot.

Rajwinder Kaur Thiara has been entrusted with the chairpersonship of the Jalandhar Improvement Trust. Along with Thiara, Dr Jasbir, Harcharan Singh Sandhu and Atma Prakash Bablu have been appointed its trustees.

Other newly appointed chairpersons of various improvement trusts include Tarsem Bhinder (Ludhiana), Megh Chand Shermajra (Patiala), Gurwinder Singh (Hoshiarpur), Mohinder Kachura (Fazilka), Raman Mittal (Moga), Vibhuti Sharma (Pathankot), Karamjit Singh Rintu (Amritsar), Jatinder Bhalla (Bathinda), Sajan Singh Cheema (Kapurthala), Rajendar Usma (Tarn Taran), Yashpal Chauhan (Batala), Rajeev Sharma (Gurdaspur), Pritam Singh (Sangrur), Surinder Pal Sharma (Nabha), Ramtirath Manna (Barnala), Gagan Dhaliwal (Faridkot), Satnam Jalwaha (SBS Nagar), Jarnail Nangal (Phagwara) and Shiv Kumar Lalpura (Ropar).
