The School Education Department has written to all District Education Officers (DEOs) to ensure maximum participation of school students in a project of “750 million Surya Namaskar” from January 1 to February 7, 2022.

The students have also been asked to participate in a musical performance on Surya Namaskar to be held on January 26, 2022 across the country.

The National Yogasana Sport Federation is organising the project of “750 million Surya Namaskar” in 30 states, involving 30,000 institutes and 30 lakh students.

The department has asked the DEOs to disseminate information about the project among teachers, parents and students and ensure maximum participation from every school. The project is being organised under the banner of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”. — TNS
