Continuing with restrictive functioning following Covid outbreak, the Punjab and Haryana High Court has ordered adjournment of cases already listed for hearing between July 31 and August 31. These cases will now be listed between October 29 and December 1.

The High Court also made it clear that anticipatory and regular bails, criminal revision (bail) filed under Section 102 of Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection) Act, habeas corpus petitions, criminal writ petitions pertaining to protection/life and liberty/ parole/ furlogh/ premature release and application for suspension of sentence, irrespective of the year of their registration, would not be adjourned.
