Chetan Prakash Dhaliwal, member, State Food Commission, has asked the DEO to issue a show-cause notice to the heads and mid-day meal incharges of Government Primary School, Dhudike, and Government Middle School, Maddoke.

During a surprise visit today, Dhaliwal inspected various schemes running under the National Food Security Act-2013. He visited schools and anganwadi centres in Dhudike and Maddoke and found students being fed meals while sitting on the floor at two schools. There were no mats and students had to bear with the cold, hard floor. “It is unacceptable that children have their food in such conditions, especially during cold weather,” he said.
