Chandigarh: Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Balbir Singh distributed appointment letters to 586 youths. The recruits include 558 multipurpose health workers, 14 ophthalmic officers, six medical laboratory technicians, three stenographers, and five ward attendants. Dr Singh highlighted the government’s efforts to strengthen the health department, with 1,390 posts of doctor being filled in phases, and 435 house surgeons’ appointments currently in progress.
